Dimmer

A transparent overlay that dims your screen below the minimum hardware brightness — ideal for late-night use. It features global hotkeys (Ctrl+Alt+Up/Down to adjust, Ctrl+Alt+Space to toggle), a system tray menu, multi-monitor support, single-instance behaviour and settings saved to dimmer.ini beside the exe.

Build from source: download Dimmer.cpp and compile.bat, then run compile.bat in the folder (requires MinGW-w64 / g++). Free and open — no installation needed.
